Bogdan Tokovenko (PhD) is graduated in Biology by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, Kyiv, Ukraine.

In 2009, he got his PhD at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Kyiv, Ukraine. The title of his PhD project was “Development of in silicomethods for the identification of eukaryotic transcription factor binding sites in application to ISGF-3”.

After finishing his PhD, he worked as a Bioinformatician Postdoc at the the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland, Germany. During this time, he focused his research on bacterial genomes assembly, scaffolding, and annotation, RNA-Seq data analysis and Secondary metabolites genomics.

Currently, he has a position as a Bioinformatician at the Digitalization in R&D, BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, Germany. His main interests are in Genomics, Computational pipelines and Data Analysis & ML. He has vast experience in working with Python, R, bash, Debian Linux, [My]SQL and HTML/CSS/JS.
